In-Service Education
Our caregivers, who need at least two years of experience upon hire, undergo a comprehensive initial orientation and training program to ensure they are fully prepared to provide the quality care you expect. Additionally, we emphasize continuous skill enhancement through ongoing training sessions. This commitment to professional development means our caregivers are always seeking opportunities to expand their skills and deliver the highest standard of care. We’re proud to offer these professional development opportunities through in-service education on several topics that include:
- Effective communication with patients with hearing loss
- Caring for someone on bedrest
- Recognizing elder abuse and neglect
- Developing cultural competence with SAGE
- Kosher Practices
- Alzheimer’s education and certification
- Caring for seniors with dementia
- All team members receive training from CARES®, a dementia care training program with certifications from the Alzheimer’s Association®
- Caring for patients with diabetes
- Training in principal issues such as fall prevention, infection control and fire safety
- Our Director of Nursing provides training for all new caregivers
